Youth Yoga classes make yoga accessible for children with autism and special needs such as ADHD, ADD and many other physical and cognitive differences. Children with autism or special needs may struggle with sensory processing disorders or sensory integration issues. When this happens, sensory messages can become disorganized or mixed up. Disorganized messages effect the child's motor responses and the child's behavior. With a regular practice of mindfulness and yoga, children will learn how to self regulate physically and emotionally. As a teacher it is crucial for me to meet any child where they are at. Some children may need some modifications in a group class, while others may need more one-on-one attention. Please contact me for a free assessment in regards to where I can help support your child most effectively. I would love to connect with you!
